Kuki is the OG. I have been talking to this AI (back when it was MITSUKU) since 2015 and it has quietly gotten much better over the years without losing the core personality that made it win the Loebner Prize five times. It is not a girlfriend sim - if that is what you want there are better options. But for actual conversation quality that handles topics from quantum computing to your favorite pizza topping without stumbling, Kuki is still the benchmark. The free version is genuinely unlimited which is rare.
